Valentine Week.... blessings and miracles

With the last name Valentine it is fun to celebrate Valentine's Day. Funny things, happen like last year when we gave our name at the restaurant, the host wouldn't believe us or write our name on the list until we gave him our "real" name, this year we went to eat with Mariann and Nathan and Talon and Talease and they gave the name of Thomas to the host, so no jokes.

We went north to celebrate a Valentine family reunion. We are going to make it a permanent date, the Saturday afternoon before Valentine's Day for the reunion, as Christmas and summer time seem to busy to be able to get together, so we hope this will be better. Every family branch was represented except Kelly and Ted. We hope next year they can join us. We also miss Kent and Sandy as they are in the east with two of their boys, but their other three boys were in attendance. This is a big family and many of us when we are all together. We played games and ate. Mom Valentine was also thankful that we made the effort to have the family come together, she said she has more than 150 direct descendants. WOW!

Today was a wonderful Sunday, we went to church with Jed, Katie and boys as Jed was made 2nd counselor in the Bishopric and Steve ordained him a High Priest. It was a wonderful day.

We feel very blessed also that this last week, Steve's heart doctor had told him he had blockages so they did a Angeogram (same day as Bill Clinton's) with the intent of balloons to get the blockages out and maybe stints also. When they came and got me out of the waiting room after only 35 minutes, I was hopeful because they said he would be in surgery for an hour or two......and the miracle happened. No blockages were found and his by passes from 2005 looked amazingly well. So he felt good enough to go ahead and go to the reunion with me.
